Saudi Arabia replaces Capital Market Authority chairman. A Royal Order issued 13 August ended Mohammed El-Kuwaiz's nearly nine-year tenure as CMA chairman and appointed Mazen Al-Sudairi, a former head of research at Al Rajhi Capital and Alistithmar Capital, with the rank of minister. The CMA is the primary rule-maker for Tadawul — listings, foreign-investor access, market conduct — so the leadership change is being watched for continuity of the reform agenda (QFI access, IPO pipeline, market-structure initiatives) rather than for any immediate rule change.
