Gulf
No material new items from Saudi CMA/Tadawul, UAE SCA/DFSA/FSRA/DFM/ADX, Qatar QFMA/QSE or Kuwait CMA/Boursa Kuwait over the weekend or Sunday session (21–24 August), despite Tadawul, QSE and Boursa Kuwait all trading Sunday. No Fed meeting fell in this window, so there is no fresh dollar-peg follow-through to report from SAMA, CBUAE, QCB or CBK; CBUAE's last move held its Base Rate at 3.65% on 29 July, outside this window. DFSA's Consultation Paper 173 (DIFC funds regime overhaul) remains open, closing 7 September.
Israel
No material new items from the Israel Securities Authority, TASE or the Bank of Israel. TASE now trades Monday–Friday (it dropped Sunday trading in January), so this weekend carried no exchange session at all. The Monetary Committee's next meeting remains set for 1 September; its last move was a 25bp cut to 3.50% on 6 July.
Africa
Egypt's FRA short-selling framework (Resolution 155, issued 19 August) still has no formally confirmed trading-launch date. Market reporting notes the resolution takes effect the day after Official Gazette publication and gives already-approved brokers a further month to complete their technology build-out, which points toward a late-September rollout, but the FRA and EGX have not yet published a firm date. Coverage
Nigeria's NGX confirmed its equity pricing-methodology relaunch remains postponed rather than cancelled, with still no new effective date announced since the Exchange pulled the framework hours before its scheduled 17 August start. No material new items from South Africa's FSCA/JSE/SARB or Kenya's CMA/NSE/CBK in the last 72 hours.
