ASX clearing and settlement rulebook amendments take effect. Changes to the ASX Operating Rules, ASX Clear, ASX Settlement and Austraclear rulebooks apply from today: a longer 28-day (was 10-day) window for participants to notify director changes, new recovery-contact and business-continuity notification duties, an express power for ASX Clear to sell a defaulting participant's portfolio, and a power for Austraclear to require withdrawal of securities for AML non-compliance.
