SEC grants five-year “Innovation Exemption” for onchain trading of tokenized NMS stock. A 17 September exemptive order lets permissioned “Tokenized Securities Venues” trade tokenized NMS stock through automated-market-maker liquidity pools without registering as an exchange, and gives their liquidity providers a conditional exemption from dealer registration; both exemptions expire 17 September 2031, alongside a concurrent request for comment.
